Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. Her first competitive event was the national junior championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. Her first ever international competition in 1972, she took the top spot having won three golds. When she competed for the first time at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals as well being awarded a silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began skating figure with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment during her teenage years. The path she took to success began by joining her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
