In an interview, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her body didn't matter to her. But after speaking to her adopted sister in South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different the two were. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed while they were together with their parents or when they went alone. Meg replied "Oh sure! Every times!" Heigl said to Parents, "That made me realise that I was so naive." She became enraged, and she decided to use that anger to support her two adopted daughters. Heigl, who has been engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year old girl that adopted in the year 2012.
