Young moved from North Carolina to Los Angeles, landing roles in the roles of Cathy Metsker and Rachel in JJ Abrams Mission Impossible: 3 with Tom Cruise and Keri Russel. She has also made numerous independently-produced films in the city, including the Sundance popular The Freebie starring Dax Shepard and A Country Remedy starring Joshua Leonard which she helped produce and filmed in her native State of North Carolina. Young started a diverse and lengthy career in the field of television after moving to LA.
